a.gif (995 bytes) little-known technique called "stereoscopic free viewing" allows two dimensional photography to step into the 3-D world. It takes very little practice but the rewards are worth the effort. 
To view the image in 3-D, pretend you're 10 years old, stare at the seam between the two photos and very slightly, gradually cross your eyes. Suddenly you will see in 3-D.  Be patient.  You will  see three images. Concentrate on the middle one.  You don't have to be upclose for this to work.
